Faces in multiples drawn by a guest artist

Posted with permission of the artist, Kevin Schroeder (grade 6)
This guy has drawing chops and proves to be a very witty and clever conversationalist. I am watching to see how soon before Kevin gets a comic strip of his own or maybe inks a book deal. Meanwhile, he graciously permits me to post some of his work.

My own pencil to paper output is a bit slow at present. To remedy such paucity of pencilings, my spouse purchased a book titled 500 Drawing Prompts. The challenge is to depict (in my cartoonish way) the suggested scenarios whether they be sandcastles or zombies (two actual assignments). Perhaps I can post a few of these in the near future.

Facing the chores

"Cleanliness is next to impossible"
Long time, no post. I've been busy with a variety of projects including a deep clean of the pottery shop. I haven't lost the pencil and sketchbook and haven't figured out why I'm not posting of late.

Hope you're having a happy summer.

Not to be confused with....

OMG!!! Run for your lives! The cassocks are invading!

I was thinking about some historical reference to invaders called Cossacks. An inadvertent transposition of vowels later and viola! Even though this conflation happened a couple of weeks back, publishing the toon now is almost prescient given that Anglican and Lutheran leaders are gathering at a retreat next week. Maybe the town and the retreat site will echo our little panicky guy here.....

Mugs--sometimes I draw them, sometimes I throw them

From Sunday night's glaze firing
I sort of like the glaze combo here. I'm still toying with a variety of shapes and design elements. Testing involves coffee drinking (and some dish washing).

The Pen is Still Moving

This one is just a random drawing while we were waiting for supper recently. I've been busy with the day job, making pots and doodling. Posting said doodles has been where the activity has waned.

Spring has finally arrived here, so today I look forward to making some of my rounds on bicycle. Cheers!
