And that's the way it is...

So how do I succinctly and vividly describe the "state of the union" without getting bleeped by the censors?
I guess it's bonus day with two postings. We were talking at the table yesterday about what the President might say in his speech. He often sounds discouraged (I have a hunch rightly so) with how things are going.

actually, things in the USA are going quite well, esp. compared to pre-2008. If only the repubs would LAY OFF the pres. and let him continue improving the country--imagine how great things would be if they had COOPERATED with Obama these last few years rather than obstruct him at every turn, because of their hateful redneck attitudes
